Websites as a Resource and Tool

What are the websites you use to get a project done? Is it free? Do you have to maintain an account?

  1. https://www.adobe.com/express
  2. https://www.w3schools.com/
  3. https://analytics.google.com/analytics/web/provision/#/provision

Uskah: This website is free. Create the account. You need internet. You can go to this website and create almost any image you want. The layering techniques, stock images (free), edit and crop with filters are amazing. You can upload, make templates of almost anything you want (online or offline like flyers, posters, etc.) If you are familiar with this or Adobe Photoshop - they also use Adobe Assets which is a subscription to pay for licensed images to use. A little pricey, but you can hack it up if you pick the right images to assort to your liking. Highly Recommended for any school, personal, or business project.

Teken: This website is for anybody interested in learning to code. The languages are considered the entrance of software development and can take some time learning. They provide good examples and lead you to a compiler that checks if it is a running source capable of online "laws" which help with optimizing and running as a clean source of (for example) HTML. The code development on these websites have improved in appearance and reputation (this does change depending on the maintenance of the website, resources, data libraries). Online Resource.

Ahs^: Google Analytics is known for maintaining websites. Tracking cookies are controlled from your end and help with sales for businesses. You can maintain conversions (buy-sell click actions), scrolling, time on page, direct URL input versus Organic Search (how you are being found online) and any other type of tracking you want to have when your website is being viewed. It helps with regulating data governance and should be learned to help you as a consumer when purchasing items online understand what is happening. This is a free online tool.

Technical Resource Group (TRG)

We will gather together as a crowd at the CEC, discuss what we want to do as a project within the next couple of weeks. Everyone will be given the opportunity to lead a project in a subject like this. We separate tasks that can be done, ask how to do our task if not known, and put it together at the next TRG meeting while we discuss the next project.
TRG meets every other Wednesdays currently from noon to 2pm.
This is subject to change.
Open to the idea of potluck.

TRG will maintain a blog to present as a group.
It is encouraged to maintain a portfolio or blog for personal branding that can be done with any google account or free website builder or purchased website if necessary. They can be affordable ($10/Month after promotions). With the bot crawls in purchased sitemap Index errors, I recommend going with www.webador.com  for the ease of maintaining a website. Templates, google analytics tag, and maintaining for beginners. HTML is a plus, as on the blogger account for TRG - it can be done and stylized with HTML and fixed as well. That resource is Teken on the list above for what is HTML?

Do not be overwhelmed. Everyone is in a learning process. TRG is here to assist with connecting through research and projects that help maintain daily use by utilizing your options and understanding what is happening behind the screen.

Note: Did you know that there is a database with your saved passwords that are maintained? Remain professional because somebody may not think its funny. It actually has a specific textbox that you put your password in, that is masked. This is saved to a separate file that you write to, that is secured, with your ID and other related information. Everything you put online is documented! (Yes, even the deleted keys in certain programs).

Next Meeting

Wednesday May 31, 2023
We will be reserving the room and times during this meeting for June 2023.
Please arrive with your laptop (if you have one) or tablet.

Next Project: Collecting emails to send surveys for TRG to try and answer some questions, gain feedback (DATA) and begin organizing a structured database design to cover these Frequently Asked Questions for new group members and for anybody wanting to use TRG blog as a resource.

Some questions might be:

What can I do on a computer?
These generalized questions may be difficult to ask or understand if not specified. They need help in organizing their question to be effective in what they do not know.

Rephrase: How do I test my skills for a computer analyst?
This is specifying somebody who uses computers to receive data (information) and organizes it. This can be tested using email, sorting their email tabs, collecting spam and decluttering their inbox. It can also be done by establishing an account with your email to receive a subject to hone in on for your expertise. Say you are a profound babysitter and have tips and advice that you want to personally brand from your online reputation to begin handing out a business card with a blogspot.com address. They can direct access your online portfolio and read what you are capable of doing, certifications you watermarked to upload for ease of display, etc.

After this, I would recommend a software to research that enhances your portfolio. Invest in yourself by researching what you can do. Attending TRG may help with asking questions that you may not have known to ask.
