Counting in Cultural Ways

What in culture are we looking at to set us apart from the rest of the world?

There was an article (blog post) with duolingo that really provides good information on the base systems of counting. (You can check it out here!) I wanted to explain counting and its importance to mathematical designs, programs, and life in general.

Counting began for Native Americans in atypical formations which regard direction, relation, and eco systems that traverse in language as entities of separation yet togetherness. The counting systems they used were modified verses after contact and extraction of language was needed as a commerce function but also as a political function for land negotiations. How did the Native Americans measure? Generally from one point on a physical plane with a hand span. They would stand in the same spot, hold out their hand, and measure the same field or stretch of land to compare elsewhere for distance. All were not singly counted but they were grouped. When it was time to count, it was referred to a certain point and that not many things were considered the same unless at a certain distance, and for time management, depending on the task.

This is an important logical function that has evolved over the years. The educational curriculum we learn from is foreign and it's ideas on counting systems refer to a different history whose documentation spans throughout many culture systems, which modified after contact, which further commerce in their own bartering and trade systems recounted money exchange rates by size of value within their money systems. It got very complex and bull-headed for change. They set a rate and they figured out how their money compared to be just that!
Native Americans and the Fur Trades were a little bit different in history of commerce and wealth exchanges. There was plenty of barter and trade systems in place without the ability to verify their value and other exchange for that good/service. One of the main historical wars we should recognize in our money systems would be what to you? To me, it would be the French Fur Trades. Many accounts have described them as unfairly matched because of the fineness, quality, health of the furs that were sold at affordable prices to be hiked up overseas. But the thing is, commerce is still like this today. They buy at an affordable rate the product to bring up prices somewhere else it would be considered new or imported goods - traveling sales seem to appease the global market purchase appetites. They have to ship it, while affording a crew and its amenities, and then sell it again. These as one product would not pay for itself for that journey so the price is fair. Native Americans were introduced to luxury.

At this point in history, many believed they were changing, losing an identity to what provided absolutely alone with sustenance - and that was true. It was now a culture system who inherited commerce actions with goods/services unbeknownst to them. This type of trade changed lifestyle but they had earned it in their trade commerce actions. The language, stories, agriculture, counting system up to this point are unchanged.

Counting System - Defining Currency

In Native American history, they have in museums small bits of shell, coins, and unique pressed metal to signify a value in re-creating the silver, bronze, copper, gold coins encountered with trade. Bringing global money to encounter their skillmanship brought different value systems to the original product which lightened up how they devalued their own currency exchange systems in America. They referred to a common or beginning exchange rate in money and based it from that source. By not allowing those original currency exchange rates to progress, they were valued the same, even if they were not in their usual encounters. This might be perceived as unjust for value if one currency exchange rate were higher than the original and were willing to pay more for it. That unfair exchange interpretation left the market open and worthless once it became too affordable. Whoever did those exchanges did not consider the demand rate or satisfaction in who held the money system they pushed to be overwhelmed by the purchase to not need it. The marketing of demand/sell was not executed properly in that exchange rate and the entire market for it fell.
This is important to note in history of Native American counting systems because it is describing a scope that is defining or firstly translating and winding up short-handing themselves. Native Americans have still not appeased global markets in product, services, or knowledge that was accepted or paid for. Currently, cultural knowledge is finely introducing themselves to the world with internet sensations and the everlasting light to shine down on them for being the only kind of people that do this type of craft or skill. It is bringing attention to the differences in cultural context and their language systems that are affected by it. Their customs, their expectations, their survivalship is different.

Small Examples Lead to Big Booms

We have a small peice of history that keeps our eyes closed to the world on further encounters. That traveling commerce history when re-learned from, brought a type of sadness to trust and peace within those exchanges. Technically, it taught the Native American currency exchange rate a valuable lesson - don't do currency exchange rates. They bartered products and goods at first. It was when services were involved that money began a new formation of their offerings in exchange. Money pays for how it is known - if the global system wants something in those currency exchanges then send a group of people to earn it. In those money systems of representatives and the labor force, we want something of their product, send your own people to earn it.
Nobody thought of this as a solution! Who would they send? Would they go? It would be Made By America products.

What new solutions can you arrive to with this example?

Do you know another counting system we haven't arrived to yet?

Cultural revival at this time is re-enacting these scenarios of history to be relived of oppression and find a new alternative interpretatuon of what that means or could mean today. None of it was sad back then, and it shouldn't be today. Oppression is learning through a scope (not your own) and feeling depreciated of your place in it because it is not your scope! This is a classic way of teaching based on the material of pride and prejudice that is satisfactory in your part of making America. Of heirloom knowledge that is able to bring many in that conclusion. It is commendable, but, I still want Native America to be a result in educational esteem with its own scope. We say its possible, but is it?

Ask questions, research it, contend it! Have an opinion and leave a comment!

Project Propsal: Building a Mainframe

 Mainframe Proposal Research

The Top 10 Casino Management System Companies Who Rule The Industry is a good read on skimming over a couple of slot manufacturers, the Casino Management System (CMS) and future expectations to begin preparing for (augmented reality in games).

What type of technology are we working with?

Random Number Generators (RNG), RFID chips (in poker chip tracking), and from the website fortra.com on "How Casinos Depend on IBM i article, "...machines that can keep running for months, even for years. You need this to keep track of your customers, the money you earn, and the money you pay out. You need it to keep track of the beds in your hotels, the food your kitchens serve, and records of people who passed through which electronically secured door, and when. Does that sound more like the IBM i you know? It sure does."

Why is this important?

If you haven't already checked into how software is changing the world and reinventing online revenue with competitive forces in gaming, website design - - online revenues are in another stadium for achieving greatness while preparing the package for casino profitability.
The augmented reality and 3D slot machines have already been unveiled at casinos within Wisconsin and will continue to change the operational forces of style of game. The class from which its marketing has subdued profits to reveal gaming compact agreements which help fund state development and community corporate liability - online profits have not yielded legal responsibility. There are no laws with online gaming and online revenues made yet!

What is law is the fair access to internet providers at an affordable rate provided by an enactment from the Clinton Presidency and Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Not much has changed due to the Presidency not being equipped with educational prowess or agenda to make a legal direction or support from it.

With that stated, online gaming is illegal but without enforcement or measures to accumulate a task force to enforce, it becomes a constant competitor and loss of revenue for gaming appeal profits for legal stature within the US. Tribal Gaming and Nevada Gaming profits appeal to location which is supported by events, dining, and tourism attractions that rely on community calendars and hometown support for business inclusions. It's network has extended through political, business ventures, and synergy opportunists to entertain - not software development.

What can be done now?

  • We need membership to learn programming, digital art, IT subjects that enforce cybersecurity, and troubleshooting skills while documenting the tech trail (or developing one for it if unavailable).
  • We need membership to develop plans on solving entropy (gathering a group of wires to exemplify signals and organize their placements to not become entangled with continuous communication).
  • We need membership to research memory, storage, cloud computations and use, the future investments in online revenues.
  • We need membership to be aware of the age in technology at all times and compare their present state and awareness to measure the technological gap besides poverty medians to rely societal positioning on.
  • We need you to care.

Recruitment is ongoing with NEW-TRG

Recruiting Membership - Here's Why!

Presenting Native America...

Native American Tech Talk - NEWTRG

Creating an Agenda for Native America

Looking at the literature regarding Native America presently available what scope are you going to present yourself with as an urban indigenous or underrepresented member of your community (on or off the reservation)? You have learned to group and lead by exemplary accomplishments within a structure that has now induced your culture to survive luxury.
Emphasize SURVIVE LUXURY as a culture has not been a premise to accept because it involves membership choice as an American. The political structures now control your cultural structures and livelihood by grant, scholarship, career.
What we surprisingly do not include in this luxury is technological roles to self-sustain our governmental preamble statements of being self-sufficient. This means that 'we are happy with what we have' attitude and the 21st lifestyle luxury of technology and learned lifestyle resources are creating a different citizen not ours.

What can be done? School, work, kids, fun, me, sleep, pets, family, schedule...

First. The expected:

"I barely have time as it is!"
"How can I change if I am doing check-to-check living and can't afford to risk change?"
"If I do it, what do I get?"
"Plus the culture? I have to learn who I am with minimal resources and minimal computer skills. I don't even know where to start!"

Second. The attitude of doing it by choice:
"I feel heavy when I do this, I don't want to. I'd rather sleep."
"I get a headache or blurry mentality when I begin thinking of changing my life towards topics that I normally don't think of."
"I want to but don't know if I'm good at it." (I assume this one is a feeling without having the words for its actual description of pleasure or healthy seratonin output.)

Now, if this sounds like you and you understood the seratonin (word/definition/context) and it made you clearly think about what was going on. It means you have to cleanse your lifestyle first. Tradition survived because it was a lifestyle and you were surrounded by it constantly. The education that goes into drugs, alcohol, highs these days are affected into educational therapy consultations to explain you and what affects you. That part meant you are over-healing yourself without reward.

How to cleanse lifestyle to create change

1. Stop listening to music altogether. Slowly introduce meditation music, music with no words.
2. Stop watching television. For many years.
3. Create a list of how much time you have without these two factors in your life. Monitor how you think, what you notice, read books instead and learn whatever comes into your life - thoroughly and always at your own pace.
4. Smudge daily and include exercise.

Why is this a Native American agenda?

The scope that you believed, whole-heartedly, and without a doubt cannot contain you and you are no longer a victim of oppression or a hate crime. You have to realize you are to blame for your actions in the world and the choices you made were because you put yourself there.
This is to help you out of those mentalities, struggles, and spent time in a lifestyle not yours.

Hopefully you realize the mentality you possess has to be formed by you. Native America does not have to trend but we do have to learn technological luxuries without being undervalued by it. We must develop with it or become absent in future agendas of America as we create listless emotions in somebody elses fame, fortune, power, and spirit.

Goal: Re-read it. Ask a question about it. Try it.

Gathering around the computer screen...

 Tech Glow How-To Videos

What a great way to market a personal brand, style, and present your side of the world to the universe! Welcome to the adventures you will take us on as you present your humor, family moments, and document an online journey to revel hereafter!
Make a presentable, classy, and safe video profile.

Some tips with presenting yourself in ONLINE SAFETY:
  • Create a personal brand, nickname, and invest in selective presentation. You want to be known for something (you have seen the same outfit on some of those personalities on television) and want people to remember you. Update like an event and make it your seasonal transition if you plan on profiting with an audience. Highlight products, stylists, and marketing skills will be evident in your videos! This helps with keeping your daily identity safe, legal, unsearchable, and you won't be disappointed in mock versions of you if you become a big name.
  • When you are looking for followers in the thousands - you want to remember that you're going to need personal restraint. Professional guidance in marketing, search trademarks, and keywords you want to affiliate with can produce money. Know how you can invest in yourself safely by taking a class, joining a tech group (NEW-TRG), or researching at your leisure what legal complexities you may want to know! Some platforms may not allow advertising, costs and certain features can become a policy issue if you are unaware (but they can also change with your input as well)!
  • MMIW has taken its toll across the Country - why we haven't been effective in communication efforts and forming reaction parties is beyond me. Create affiliative groups and keep them local with search parties and do mock trials with missing for your area. How would you react? Did you have check-ins as a group? Did you use the buddy system and able to use technology to save you (tracking phone)? Test these technologies - report their use and recommend to your friends!
  • Do not add strangers to your profile because one of your relatives added them. This is sometimes a slow strategy to gain personal information from your page if private. The tactic is building trust. It is ok to deny them because it is best to know personally with less censored information from your private life.
  • Monitor your check-ins. If you have no problem with your friend list, check-ins can be a convenient way of showing your migrational patterns and trusted sites. Use them wisely!
  • Research ways you can be found and minimize that impact. The last name is huge in Native American communities. Once your last name is exposed in identifying who you know - it has to be reciprocated. Ask who they are in return, notice them, listen. People tend to relax during these encounters when they are proud to be known, don't be fooled.
  • In any technological advancement think of it as a tool. Research it. Tracking functions. Permissions on your cell phone and turning them off when not in use. Remember to protect your contact list and question why it is needed. If the application you are using is requesting odd things from you and its a new source or random application - these are developed by actual people where there are no laws in what is available to download!

Main thing is to always protect yourself!

Over exposure and buildng an audience can be fun but remember that MMIW and dissecting the culture with human studies is over-generalizing our direct impact with trust, peace, friendship. Remember to support your anonymity and identity by keeping those at home. Not everything has to be shared or exposed - some culturally sensitive information should remain offline. Please.

Do provide censorship when possible, allow the impact of emotion to affect when appropriate. Some culturally sensitive images, ideas, stories, and content must remain offline and/or subject to care for seasonal or otherwise proper care for comments. Ask permission as well. That is an etiquette that you can invest in!

Kunhiyo ("I am healthy") Overdose Awareness 2024 Event Recap!

 NEW-Technical Resource Group

Shek^ - Sakoli Swakweku,

At the Kunhiyo Event, NEW-TRG was happy to be in the informational table resources for a community IT Group from 9am to 2pm.

A couple of highlights about NEW-TRG (in case you missed it):

1. A community IT Resource Group for working job skills and casino revenue software career path making - what positions do we need in the community to be filled and improved to send our youth to school for?
2. We know you may not enjoy technology or learning it but it is going to be a proficiency level in the future to continuously update and maintain technical knowledge in our leisure to our businesses - join NEW-TRG so we can learn together!
3. Research, Projects, Data Governance gathering for our businesses to recruit interested people to volunteer for projects and assist for resume quality while reporting to the community about it with NEW-TRG!
4. There is no other Technical Resource Group in the community right now. Join NEW-TRG to be found, to locate answers, to group for a good cause!
5. We need a community knowledge base to be prepared to go into GTC prepared and raising the level of quality in meeting times. We also need to narrow the technological gap from professional to learner to interested to daily use people. There is a HUGE gap from our community in bridging our questions, concerns, and input for our laws that have yet to be developed!

If there are any other events in the community to invite NEW-TRG that is more than welcome! Currently seeking:

  •  Intro to Python Course with interested individuals in the Northeast of Wisconsin area!
  • Currently seeking Appleton and Shawano Area interested people! There is a search for computer resources with software and online access that we can use as a group.
  • Any suggestions and input is appreciated!

Amazing work by the staff and coordinators of the Kunhiyo Event. Definately an eye-opener with community involvement and events to provide resources. NEW-TRG is proud to be a part of this event!

Intro to Python: Take a Peek!

LearnPython.Com has great beginner steps for learning logic (equations), syntax (grammar structure), and examples that are easy to follow!

LearnPython.Com Code Example Snippet

In this code snippet, there are a couple of things that are happening.
1. variableName (what you want to call your result from the rest of the sentence and what the value returned shall be known as hereAfter).

  •         equals sign always represents assigning the value after it to the variableName

  •         there are dataTypes - something the memory of the computer needs to assign size for whatever you are working with. The best estimate you have makes the program run faster if at least amount. That is the "int" part. It means "integer" or number, whole number, typically. Not decimals - they'll probably roll that out later if they have a dataType for it.
  • input is referring to the type of variableName this actually is.. its going to be something you ask the user to respond or interact with - in real time. The module we work with can also be found at www.w3Schools.com when researching programming language, references, code snippets to alter and use. Very convenient when learning the ropes.
  • the last part of this first line is what you want your user to respond, the question. All of the 'oompf' of single quotation marks are necessary. It is designated print, automatically a string dataType (or words, letters, and sometimes certain characters are restricted from being assumed text words - because int is number, we have to convert those into text...), and yes the space is necessary because we are programming speed with short hand programming syntax/language as possible and every space has a value in the response time. Not to mention, understanding it as it can be returned to us in that print style of English grammar.
The rest goes on to explain the if statement and the type of program it is as a whole. This asks the user for any number. The logic of it is in the if statements - you are giving it options to respond with what the user gives you. So, that means programming certain paths by giving it this or that (if statements are good for these types of decision making models).

Program will do something like this:

Computer says: Provide a number: _  <<<<that little cursor will flash, waiting for a response...
You say: 3
Computer goes through the program you wrote (above) and determines that it cannot be divided (the % sign means division in Python) because it absolutely (the == sign means it has to be precisely that value) has value when divided by 2. So, the computer skips this step because it does not apply.

The computer goes to the next step.

The else statement means, if its not this even number requirement then every answer outside of this HAS to mean its an odd number. Because that is what the program provides for answer.

There could be technical defaults here but that is more than we need to explain (decimal - we haven't put up default statements, exception reports for what if the user goes outside of a whole number pathways to ask again).

Try repeating the steps and explaining each step to understand what it's asking you to do and how you solve it.

Learning how to program in code is a difficult thing to do if you do not practice it daily. Strategizing mathematical concepts and putting them to use has to start young. Some of this is in our playground equipment we have for children on the reservation. I just seen Three Sisters was building a new playground and thought 'how boring' for those kids. We need something that projects their expectations and that means asking nerds, technical adults in our working fields, professionals - how would you like to play as a kid because it taught you something you needed throughout your life? Most people account sports to this, but not every kid can be an athlete unfortunately.

Think about it.

Join NEW-TRG and integrate it into your life so your children & grandchildren can benefit from it.

NEW-TRG

Come check us out at the Kunhi:yo Event with Oneida Social Services and Resources as an informational booth. Brooke Metoxen-Smith will be handing out pamphlets, flyers, stickers with NEW-TRG and answering questions on projects with NEW-TRG and recruiting interest for joining to begin a new path in life.
One of the concerns in newly attained sobriety is what to do with the time, breaking bad habits, and direction in life with community activity and people alike. Support groups being present along with other social accomodations to relieve that question on a professional level if need be, NEW-TRG is offering assistance with delving into technological avenues.

Seeing that Native American advocates are cheering you on to join them and to apply yourself towards a new chapter in your life may be encouraging and attainable within you. People who say its too difficult or they aren't into it could be uplifted and need a new venture to get into. The people will not be disappointed in their time spent researching IT Topics and technological advancements. It will always be useful and build atop what you previously learned. We are always learning and if you can take the time to learn, and explain what was most effective for you - that is all the battle right there. You will be helping countless others after you in being able to explain what worked to help NEW-TRG remain connected with elders, the technological adept, and the disabled who may not be able to use what you are reviewing. We need your input to connect those who cannot learn it!

Join us at the event and stop by and say hi! We will be doing short surveys if you could to engage in conversations with us and what our project spaces mean for the people.

Intro to Python Course

Introduction to Python Course

NEW-TRG with Oneida CEC will be hosting an Intro to Python Course. Just a little reading material on what Python is and what you can use it for!

What is Python?

Python is a high-level, general purpose programming language according to Wiki. The language is designed for user readability and strong indentation use - basically, how Americans read today using headline skimming and bullet points. However, in programming languages, the concepts are similar to other programming languages, which makes learning it a smooth transition into other high-level programming languages.

The actual history of Python can be researched using the Wiki link if you are interested. Sometimes it does help knowing where the language originates to better understand concepts, language flow (dataflow) techniques and organization skills used. Math concepts and logical thinking are also a beneficial reach into grasping the core of the language goals from a user perspective of your own abilities with it.

Where can I use Python?

In any career that uses applications, web frameworks (designing websites with javaScript, HTML5, CSS, etc. using a DOM - Domain Object Model), and with databases or with Machine Learning technology. Its versatile. I have seen listings in multiple different South American countries for programmers using Python and it is considered a top programming language in the IT Industry for entry-level jobs. There are multiple platforms that can use Python - and its readability scores mesh well with other careers because you don't have to study extra programming languages to make what you need, work!

Programming Languages

Everything that you are working with on the computer has a system and architectural design of how it was put together for a user to interact with. A programming language helps protect, orchestrate, and execute your decisions and uses with it effectively using logical concepts. Currently, this has to consider digital logic and wiring techniques in programming languages because it is communicating with a machine. The machine has to use compilers of binary because that is the only language it knows. So, everything is interpreted in codes of binary using only 1 and 0, down to each letter. These letters of binary are compiled and the machine is putting up the saved character for it. The keys that are hit, the communication it is tasked with to display for the user, are all happening that its speed becomes dependent on the smoothness and quality of your application. That's why programming languages are used, to help the quality and interaction of users with machine.

This has a world history that has been a consistent development since the 1950's (if not earlier) in America. The race to space, the education systems, the technological booms, and the mechanical drive for more developed lifestyles have been a huge success and integration of global lifestyle and luxuries. It is used in all inventions and continues to be a job security for multiple industries - technological programming and concepts.

Haudenosaunee Concepts

Programming languages are derived from global cultural systems and educations that other people have to learn. Most times, logical and reasoning skills lack understanding in these areas. One experiential point of view to have is how to carry the Haudenosaunee teachings while learning these studies and what you are understanding while studying. There are some key points to remember:

1. Logical thinking consists of electrical knowledge and string theory. It needs to have a point of origin, a destination, and these have to have predetermined connections to solve future problems. It cannot be just a source that is pooled - that is quantum mechanics and quantum computing (not in this course).

2. Logical thinking consists of mathematical concepts that you have been generally taught through education systems in America. These are a collection of basic arithmetic, algebra, and that is about it. Everything else is not necessary.
3. Logical thinking and reasoning often consist of machine interpretation and machine compilation. If you want your program to work, you have to know the steps and syntax of how the machine is learning your task. It has to be read like instructions from the first line to the last and the best practices are not repeating yourself or over-explaining yourself.

If you're an absolute newbie...

Some things I had difficulty with was imagining what I was doing, while writing a program. What does this look like (the words I was writing)? What is this doing and how does the computer know the stuff that isn't being explained?

This can be due to multiple DOM (Domain Object Models) conceptualizing memory and software designed libraries that fill those components in. It knows the basics of what you are looking for because the limitation to what you can do and need to operate a program are embedded. There are multiple add-ons or plug-ins that you can hook up to your program to use like other tools or other images or other designed features you want to use. Python can work with these features but it generally consists of interface designed software or other web browser frameworks that you need to fit into to make what you want work. (Like the pair of jeans you want to wear need only a certain amount of size of what you can offer to make that work.)

Anything that you want to ask, can be worked with the group. The idea of this course is to gather data, advice, and logical solutions that Haudenosaunee can use for future IT Developers. The way we think, solve, and work together is much different than other cultures in the world. When we are able to collect and work together on a Python Intro Course, we will be able to write our notes and see the difference in the community about their feedback to educate later at an effective pace for us.

I will admit, there are concepts that you will not accept. There are programming features that you will not understand at first. There will be times when you will blank out in your mind. This is all natural. But the more consistent you are with it and the more you ask questions and recognize that you are doing that - without idling in place to just get through it - the better off you will be at prosolutions and acting out the way to solve it. It helps in many facets of your personal life - what you blank out when learning or listening to your children describe something they are fascinated with that you have no prior knowledge in... It happens to us and it is time for us to realize how to solve it so we can be a part of it.

Oneida CEC

Oneida CEC is installing Visual Studio software so besides the Intro to Python Course, we can continue to learn together with NEW-TRG if you are still interested and begin designing apps, personal programs (if you ever wanted to create your own program for whatever reason), projects for school, or work tools.
It will help you become familiar with a free tool (currently - take advantage of this opportunity!) and continue to be a part of the active revenue that is the sole reason we are able to afford our lifestyles and services. In Gaming, software generated by developers used in slot machines are a big beneficial amenity that most tribal people know nothing of. It is time to invest in the nation profits by being an active participant in our revenue and investments (especially while it is free or affordable)!

May 2024 for NEW-TRG

 Oneida CEC on Packerland

MAY MONTHLY MEETING TIMES: 10AM to NOON ON WEDNESDAYS!!

One of the events we are getting ready for is to host a Python Intro Course during the Summer of 2024. It will be a 6 week course as a group. There are individual group sessions for certification, but you will have to pay out of pocket for that. This first intro-course is to get an understanding of how to write in a highly acceptable programming language that is encouraged for beginners. This is pending approval with the Oneida Arts Program and Oneida CEC itinerary!

Python Itinerary

When will you need this skill?
If you are planning on going into software desgning, interested in how game developers write code, or want to get started in a new technological hobby or career path - this would be a great place to start at any age!

This is just a short list of some of the goals to achieve in an intro course with Python. Python is easily rated at the top for its accessibility, preference of language with other companies and website designers, and is a global language that people are constantly recruiting for in their competing markets.

Why Python?
One of the goals for NEW-TRG is to be invited, apply, and host a "hack-a-thon" event. In these events, there are a bunch of intro courses to delve into, but if we can learn beyond these intro courses as a group, we could really bring out how to implement our ideas onto tangible products such as software tools, platforms, and concepts. There is a bunch of IT Topics to address and sometimes it takes a little bit of being creative to think outside of the normal wave to catch the winning surf. If you are great at reading patterns, attentive to detail, or want to learn how your natural skills can be of use in IT - Python is a great start to get used to the talk, the concepts, and the thinking changes within logical solutions with computers.

Conclusion
Please do not hesitate to leave a message, provide feedback, questions! The steps you take now will help open up opportunities in the IT Field, for not just you, but your entire family to engage with in conversation and keep them updated with what is happening in the tech world.

Last Chance for Peer-Review on NABM!

 Native American Binary Mathematics (NABM)

There is an available peer-review for NABM in blog form at NABM. It will be made unavailable after the Solar Eclipse on April 8, 2024 which marks the end of the Great American Solar Eclipse which began August 21, 2017. The construction of the Zero-Axis Grid, 6Grid, and Delta Grid are the main features which lightly discusses the Spiral Counting involved with relational space to use in a binary construction to consider with AI environments, machine learning, and a new organizational system to use in place of linear algebra and ordinal counting with the binary established with ASCII in America.

This has been an amazing journey to be part of, which was able to be worked during these celestial events. Each one just as special as the last and next. For the grid works, there is a base copyright called "Binary Sequence Signature" by Brooke Metoxen-Smith that explains the first binary strand to study and formulate sequences of binary that emulate environmental relations to measure algorithms, placement theories, and zero concepts to further its integration with technology as we see it today.

This is all inspired by the Native American perspective, teachings, and intuitive thinking behind translation issues with medicinal people throughout documented history. The way we perceive our environment is always learning and how we adapt to our surroundings has never ceased our thriving sense of what is real and what is surreal. However, virtual reality has changed this realistic measurement to include signal pollution, acceptance of diversity, and many other linguistic comprehensive introductions (along with computer programming languages) that alter our perceptions of interpreting data.

This is an initial step to include North American Native Tribes curriculum by using it as a catalyst program for curriculum to incorporate into space travel, energy theories, and computer programming to compete with quantum programming/mechanics. This is much beyond our reach at this time, but with further study and investment, we can include Native America into the future of computer programming and divulge into interface designs to propogate a cyberspace environment that isn't hard-coded or manipulated with dynamic code to be altered - it has to revel machine thinking and solidify resource through its own digital circuitry systems that can be instilled without hard connections - but it has to make sense! To expand our AI systems, its going to need its own domain outside of human development online to ensure time is encased by its own sensitive networking of what defines it separately from sol time. The hardware needs to be constructed to be manipulated by the code to encounter effective speed. Much work is needed and we are not too far behind or in ridicule to begin NABM curriculum.

I encourage all of you to look over it, try to understand it, and comment on it. It will be documented.

I also highly encourage you to invest in a curriculum yourselves with something of a similar grounding to expand the Native American teaching systems and how you interpret what you learn for the betterment of society.

Snowday Today in NEW! Tsi?Nahe Yotaklohkw^ (While It's Snowing...)

NEW-TRG is thinking ahead for the NEW Community. A Python Intro Course to do together in the Summer of 2024 is the next big event to prepare for!

Some things that you may not know about computers or computer programming is the language base to communicate with interfaces, Operating System (OS) [like Windows, Mac] browsers and platforms of many kinds these days (Software as a Platform, Infrastructure as a Platform, etc.) do this with programming languages.

One of the highly competitive programming languages, highly desired, for ability to work with multiple other programming languages is Python! During job searches, I found this highly desireable in South America. If we know anything about our history and wanting to make a direct impact based on experience to help others be successful in culture repatriation, and feel a calling for indigenous assistance, then programming may be your best bet at providing assistance in the proper circles to navigate political scenes and tribal leader fundings that may not know to request this profession. Having a Native background will help with relating to their needs and joining NEW-TRG is requesting to be part of this journey!

Think about your future, how you want to do your small part within a chaotic pull of what you want to do in your professional career and stick to something that is going to be needed and constantly changing!

NEW-TRG flyer (Last Season) 2024

Other news...

April 17 and April 24, 2024 will be the last physical in-person meetings for NEW-TRG until we have a good group going that want to participate weekly. NEW-TRG will continue to host events, webinars, training sessions, and intro courses to sign up for to be held at Oneida CEC on Packerland.

The NEW-TRG blog will still be available weekly, new posts and updates on websites, native-owned businesses, seeking out local articles on their IT development and usage, interviews, and more!

If you are interested in the Intro to Python course - sign up with your email and a brief message of interest to NEW.TechnicalResourceGroup@Gmail.com! This is still in planning, but taking interested people as a first come first serve basis is encouraged. It will need to get approved with Oneida CEC and their course listings to post for the local Native community, there may be a small fee, that we can cover together. We will be one working body with this Intro to Python (cost effective and teamwork in developing the interest with the IT Field) - so no individual certificates! It is encouraged to join for the experience, the knowledge, the opinions that will form and a major plus in building more interest to pursue an IT Career!

I can guarantee that if you go into any IT Field, it will serve great benefits to survive your first couple of semesters (especially if there is programming languages involved)!

Resources to check out and be inspired!

 Native Enterprises in Technology

Searching for Native-Owned Businesses in Technology I was not expecting to hit big. However, the first on the search engine results page (SERP) resulted with this article that I encourage you to read up on.

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) is a huge topic for AISES (American Indian Science & Engineering Society) students and what to do with their projects after competition isn't to just lightly put down feeling accomplished. Keep going with it. Carrying on with the project to further prove, create a business, a life's work could really take on other research methods and documentation for validity. The topic to invest in could help officiate those funds to further provide grants that could serve the people well if the subject hosts a light to do so.

When picking out your subjects and investing in projects for STEM or AISES - undergo project themes that are valid, will be in your future, a need for the people or the future of the people, and formulate results to future problems by also curating to the preventative method practices we have.

This year was remarkable to find in this topic. Before the Golden Globe inductees, to see the Cherokee Nation in the list with their enterprise. Cherokee Nation is leading in a population numbers while revival is strong - may they continue their progressive steps!
Surprising also, the Winnebago of Nebraska. I was surprised, personally, and happy to see nations in places of the dusted trails to thrive in STEM and AISES research/materials.
What Northeast Wisconsin native communities can also know through this article are the multiple enterprises in Minnesota who are leading Indian Country with IT development. All of this locality should result in progressive work and support for each other.
The telecommunications in the Southwest is also impressive to see solutions occuring as their populations boom, may they continue to be respectful of their sacred lands and maintan cultural priority versus mainstream impacts.

Entropy Project: Family Learning Fun Needed?!

 Entropy Project

What does entropy mean? Googling it, it is defined as "lack of order or predictability; gradual decline into disorder.'" It is also defined as "a thermodynamic quantity representing the unavailability of a system's thermal energy for conversion into mechanical work, often interpreted as the degree of disorder or randomness in the system."

The entropy project NEW-TRG is looking for is getting a group of people, children, learners together and calmly discussing different scenes and phrases, words that describe entropy. As you explain it, keep them separated. What they hear picks up from their image of what it is describing. The group then reveals each, what it meant, and then to peice them together.

This has to be done in a specific way. Cultural teachings with Native American materials emphasize the cultural spirit and guidance that are embedded withn them to act on scenarios to solve or follow. The Native American teaching is a direct descendant to contact with their environment how to solve something needed without prior teaching. People would relate this to natural instinct or natural intuitiveness.

This is important for inspiration in art and interpretation. When entropy is a problem and Native America wants to solve it by being an inspiration that was guided with words, phrases, stories, and other verbal cues and tones to describing it. Do they naturally try to solve it? Do they portray a way to have an input and output system? More guidance with it will help us identify how categorizations exist with Native American teachings and how it has evolved with a modern education system.

Some things to talk about while guiding your learners:

1. I have three large groups, you cannot be one until the second one and the third one doesn't exist to the first one. The word connection is what they know but together they do not. There is no way for me to know if they are color coordinated, but I do understand that they are units of power, with a power source.

2. I have nothing containing what I am describing in groups that need to be identified by name. Each possess a reason why they are there but they do not know each other. There is no way to say who is better than the other. There is somebody else who sees this but I cannot speak to them or communicate with them. We are looking at them and wanting them to do something different. I see them and they are forming a spiral with them. They are using size from the smallest to the largest outward and arranging their heights as well.

3. There are bodies of robots and their peices are mismatched. One robot has the other robots serial number, arm, controller, and can order parts for itself. Is this wrong? The robot missing these things has a controller, an arm, and a different serial number for another to order parts with but receives the wrong order. How do we fix this solution without them giving each other those parts back? They are working with a website that reads and uses these parts of them only and the shopping list is provided by their serial number.

4. A dreamcatcher story. Where it comes from but in the future instead. The dreamcatcher was lost and was later used in a sci-fi setting that helped solve equational patterns called algorithms to have a start and end that started with the container but ended with the objects within. The patterns created smaller containers that intangible beings in hardware were able to squeeze past. It collected algorithms, patterns of repetitive tasks to monitor. How does this look like in the future, what materials did they use, what did it make when it was just the frame?

Entropy Discussions

Afterwards, the idea of entropy is to connect these stories. How did they organize them together. What did their connections value equal? How did they communicate with each story and out of all things similar - what was not the same? Were they placed outside of those values and the solution for a working order must be noticed in a natural setting and encouraged when not. What was the idea that caused something new to occur?

This is a real dilemma in IT Topics and technology today. Any actual entropy attempt, stories, or projects like this would be greatly appreciated! Have you done something like this for this reason? Please encourage this type of awareness and recognize the cultural teachings to enforce our place in the world and our value with the future. Please remain connected to what is important and encourage others to strengthen those cultural teachings. They are still needed as a diverse perspective in the world solutions!

What is a hackathon?

 Hackathons in NEW?

Here are a list of hackathons in Northeast Wisconsin and nearby resources to gain an idea of what they are, skill level, and basic itineraries of what to expect:

A group of Native American programmers, interested in IT Field topics, and/or starting a business want to expand to online stored and research for their tribal political interest to begin a career in leadership want to host the next Native American hackathon to support a team on the same level of interest and commitment. This is the next best launch party for any campaign, business, and adventurous group of friends to begin in northeast Wisconsin!

  NEW-TRG

This is an IT interest group for the Native American community in Northeast Wisconsin and very interested in setting these goals in the future for grants and other potential experience to participate in one as a group. We can be fundamentally developing, hang out if you don't want to fully delve in just yet, and/or have a group to support your skills. We can do this! Begin to form a plan and recruit now to invest for your company future(s)!

Types of projects include business formatting with machine learning, AI, digital logic, and entropy in database designs for programming retrieval and storage are big topics right now that contain much potential to be solved. What we need are solutions on how to create or make an effective tool, software design, or otherwise profitable organizational chart using our methods. Traditional teaching isn't the most likely step into technology but that is because we haven't been able to interpret relational environmental practices with a hierarchy structure that can get entangled of dominance and food webs - which is not too far from being an example with online structures. Begin to translate for yourself and learn how to maintain in the IT Field without needing to pick and choose your time and lifestyle customs for identity assurance.

Join NEW-TRG and check out a meeting at the Oneida CEC located at 2632 Packerland Dr. in Green Bay, WI!

NEW-TRG and Reviewing Our Next Local Native-Owned Business

Skenandore Tax! The New Native-Owned Business in Northeast Wisconsin!

Her name is Ashley and she is equipped with convenient hours, experience, and files your taxes online for you at a decent price. Go ahead and shoot her an email at: SkenandoreTax@Gmail.com

She will respond with a website to upload documents and be able to provide you with a printed copy as well. I enjoyed her recycled paper with documents, saving one tree at a time, with old bingo paper to lighten the mood on this year's take-home!
Here are a couple of digital marketing peices done by NEW-TRG to celebrate this new local business. Check her out!

Interestingly about these advertisements, the images were created using Co-Pilot the AI search engine using Bing.com. The response is awesome, very new, and since the webinar on the state of AI with codeMag - newly learned information that this will be the new office feature for running queries by incorporating an ai search boost which could ultimately reduce company manpower in 20 years or change it completely to include avenues yet discovered and worked. How exciting!
Some review in the Designer portion considering "Native American" visualization, is the headdress. It is overused and is a key identifier for the type of person being requested. I like how they give variations of the appearance and appreciate the inclusions not prompted by the user search.
Try it out! If you don't know how, show up or message NEW-TRG and we can assist you!

We look forward to a blog article by SkenandoreTax reviewing software used with her business and what features she would like to see in the future. Writing software and being able to define these tools is a projected future and having these goals in mind helps the people be more self-sufficient. We look foward to seeing more participation in NEW-TRG! Recommend webinars, training, reviews, or mentorship.

Webinar State of AI: 2024 Review

Webinar State of AI: 2024 with CodeTraining

The presentation was done by Markus Egger, President and Chief Software Architect (among many other titles) on the current status of AI and how it is available for business development in archival response in not only customer settings but with employee registrar queries and workload tasks.

AI is a feature working interchangeably with other models in text and image. As the big competition markets with China and US where India's space program (no doubt near this as well) takeoff are focusing on their future investments and where we lack in robotic performance (in comparison to China), we are aiming for AI goals instead.

Economical Impact with AI and Competitive Business Goals with AI

AI impact from CodeTraining Webinar

"The expected characteristic is that mainly the "middle" will be affected, while low-skill and high-skill jobs should be around longer" made an impact on visionary statements for employment, resource, sustainability, and competitive business strategies for investment. It is still a risk, more research, development, and preference for determining how we grow as entrepeneurs to the enterprise levels into government policy-making roles and how it will affect our leaders decision-making, education expectations/training, into the workforces they provide.

Factors with CodeTraining Webinar

All Data Sets (Freely Available), Availability of Compute Power (Cloud services, platform service arrangements), Funding and Entrepeneurship, Well-trained AI Scientists, A Supportive Policy Environment.

The AI term was coined in the 1950's, envisioned in usage that is not referenced today in the same light. It has shifted into what is now possible, available, and improving with each passing architectural framework into a "factful" Retrieval Augmented Generator (RAG) provided by programmer discipline. AI is not emotional but it will be able to talk to you in a relational interpretation, however, you must be capable of fact-checking and realizing that this is still new. GPT3 was released in 2020 and a year ago (CodeTraining's first webinar on the State of AI) Microsoft's Co-Pilot AI was not available. GPT4 recently released in its latest version in 2023 while other teams are also venturing in their competitive architectural models like Stable Diffusion 3 (An image generating model that has caused errors in censoring and filter errors in competition with TensorFlow with Machine Learning models), Whisper, Gemini, Mistral, and more.

How can NEW-TRG use this informational review?

Global marketing, global competition, self-sustainability in business, and educational funds in AI, IT, Machine Learning backgrounds are highly encouraged. The future of the world is separating at a fast pace and with AI, is only going to boost performance and speed of work task flows, with less cost and less long-term damage or error (human-made or not). The accessibility and strive for improvement is now.

What AI encounters and the knowledgeable user may encounter...

I recently had an encounter doing ASP.NET MVC (Model-View-Controller) homework and asked Co-Pilot a question on PartialViews, that had an error in the descriptive language it chose to portray in the usage of the initial question. I corrected it and it acknowledged its mistake by supporting my correction. I was surprised by the response, and how in the Webinar, stated how "factfulness" developers strive to make AI tools. I became skeptical and other questions/concerns arised:

1. What imagery it cannot comprehend or relate in its responses - grabbing from multiple sources - yet can create imagery in some models... it is going to bridge this connection at some point, the assumption is neural networking models.
2. How the AI model could be corrected in a basic term and function with a well-known software program that I was searching for syntax in my question.
3. Where knowledge in these tools, data, and concepts are needed and should be documented for improvement in not only the AI but how we are recruited as developers during this time. I thought of it as a 'while I can' since AI is still in a young age with the world.
4. Other models with ChatGPT would ask the same question and the output would change, deriving multiple sources, reflecting average or library source or data governance flaws to its response factfulness being degraded. This was not the case, since it repeats these basic concepts and examples to not reveal answer but now act as an educational tool.

Conclusion

Technology is young, we can definately step in and learn now.

Competition in software engineering, architecture, and the cost impact depends heavily on the programming team and that's not mentioning the hardware and memory space with server and networking dilemmas to add to the chaos of what is a work space in today's working world!

The data being collected on you, your business, government, and global affairs. It's time to join the wave of technological input!
